Come and enjoy a trip on the Forth and Clyde
in central Scotland and view the spectacular Falkirk
Wheel.
Starting from our base at Lock 16 in Camelon
(click for location map),
nearby the Wheel you have the opportunity to travel through the Falkirk Wheel
experience - one you will never forget!
Come and
join a trip with Canal Craft Scotland and enjoy the tranquillity of a
canal journey.
Starting from Lock 16 we travel the Forth & Clyde canal to the
Jubilee Lock at the north basin of the Falkirk Wheel. Once through the
lock and into the basin we berth in the Wheel itself and begin the
upward rotation to the top level Aqueduct. From here we continue along
what is now the Union canal and through the Rough Castle tunnel and
under the Antonine Wall. This leads to the south basin and beneath the
main Glasgow/Edinburgh railway.
We
reverse our journey from here and return through the tunnel and along
the Aqueduct to the Wheel where we descend to the Wheel marina and the
visitor centre. We exit the basin through the Jubilee Lock and retrace
our route along the Forth & Clyde to our base at Lock 16.
