Canal Boat Cruising

Forth & Clyde Canal

The Antonine Wall, begun in AD 142 during the reign of the Roman emperor Antoninus Pius, consisted of a turf rampart set on a stone foundation stretching 37 miles across central Scotland. A broad ditch was dug in front of the Wall as part of the overall defenses, and the fill from this ditch formed a low mound to the north. Come with us and travel Scotland's oldest inland waterway taking you from the River Forth to the River Clyde.

The Glasgow end of the Forth and Clyde Canal at Bowling, on a quiet summers dayStarting from our base in Camelon we can give you a taste of this with our trips to the Falkirk Wheel and to Bonnybridge from our base at Lock 16 in Camelon.
